My love for music and the concert experience inspired me to create my dream music festival. Subgenre music festival showcases both established and up-and-coming music artists that cannot be defined by one genre because of their dedication to experimentalism and pushing the boundaries of music. Subgenre is meant to be a smaller, more urban music festival experience meant for those seeking to connect with other music-lovers and see their favorite artists in a more intimate setting. Genres are social constructs, they blend and flow into each other creating an authentic musical experience.

Genres are social constructs, they blend and flow into each other creating an authentic musical experience, but often new subgenres are created and used to denote music that does not fit within the traditional parameters of existing genres. Subgenre Music Festival embraces this construct and celebrates ambiguous and fluid motion through genres.

I developed two motion pieces for the festival: The top one as an video installation that could be put throughout the music festival, and the bottom one meant to be used as a loading screen in between performances.
